Maple Landmark Introduces the "Designers Collection"

A redesign of the Hang-A-Name line creates flexible themed products for children and designers alike.

Middlebury, VT—What could be more natural than for a wooden toy and gift company to create classically designed trucks in a natural finish? Maple Landmark's new line of "classic" trucks appeal to young and old alike.

"Making products out of wood is our business," said Mike Rainville, owner of Maple Landmark Woodcraft, "and sometimes it's nice to leave things in their natural state. These classics are modeled after their painted counterparts but these vehicles are naturally beautiful."

These six trucks have been designed with the greatest consideration for safety and the environment. Each truck is carefully crafted using hardwoods, including the sustainably harvested maple for the truck bodies. Being made from maple these trucks weigh in at over 2-1/2 pounds and measure about 9" in length. The finish on these special trucks is also natural—a beeswax finish gives each piece a natural glow. Even the detailing is natural, a laser is used to engrave the wording and the images instead of inks or dyes.

The six designs include a school bus, tic-tac-toe truck, moving truck, race team, log truck, and a fire truck. Each truck has removable people and other movable parts that allow children to have open-ended, imaginative play. These soon to be heirloom classics are geared for years of good ol' fashioned play.
