Chess pieces crafted from hardwood maple and cherry. The pieces are blocks with a traditional characters engraved on two sides. Each piece has that part's move pattern engraved on the bottom - for new players or those just a bit rusty.

The 32-piece set comes with 16-hardwood maple blocks and 16-hardwood cherry blocks. Each piece is engraved on the front and back with standard chess images. All the pieces are 1” wide and 1” deep and vary in height depending on the strength of the character. The pawn stands at 1¼” tall and the Queen is 2¼” tall. Each set comes with a cloth pouch for piece storage when not in use.

Included is our basic board, measuring 15" x 15" and is made from a sturdy hardwood plywood with a durable whey based finish.
