Jim Cunningham Jim is responsible for our handmade cherry pens. Originally from Nashville, he settled in Vermont in the early 1980's. In 1998 he started a small business making rustic furniture in Bristol. Jim says,"I have always worked with my hands from remodeling to my creative side of working with nature. My work has been unique from all others and yet I keep my work simple but remaining elegant and useful. I like to highlight nature and let people see what nature really looks like if they can slow down enough to see it. The beauty of my work is that all of my materials (100%) are reclaimed, that's firewood or wood left to rot. Pieces of nature that's not lost but reclaimed. I like to show people just what they're throwing away." The pens Jim turns for us are mostly made from our own scrap wood. His web site is www.moosemaple.com. ![]() Reed Prescott gets the credit for most of our laser engraving artwork. A resident of Lincoln, Vermont, Reed is a very accomplished artist, having won competitions such as the Vermont Duck Stamp Competition, twice. He has often been called "an artist's artist," because of the astonishing detail that goes into his paintings and illustrations. The unique vibrancy and sense of light that appear in his work are truly a visual treat. Reed Prescott has illustrated several books, including Floyd Scholz's Birds of Prey and Owls, the Vermont Watchable Wildlife Viewing Guide, and several titles with naturalist/writer Ronald Rood. A graduate of the School of the Worcester Art Museum, Reed and his wife, Lisa, have two sons, Isaac and Spencer. Reed's web site is www.prescottgalleries.com. ![]() |
